Ocean Express Agencies (Pvt) Limited - Container Liner Agency

Ocean Express Agencies (Pvt) Limited, a subsidiary of OEG, has been handling the Middle East's largest container line, IRISL for the past six years. Ocean Express Agencies dedicatedly represents the container division of IRISL.

IRISL's Pakistan volume has risen from 1,000 TEUs in the year 2001 to 15,000 TEUs in 2006. This exponential growth in IRISL's Pakistan market share truly reflects the capabilities of professionals working at Ocean Express Agencies.

Currently, Ocean Express Agencies (Pvt) Ltd has been handling 4 to 6 IRISL container vessels per month with an average export volume of 350 TEUs and import volume of approximately 300-350 TEUs per vessel. Ocean Express is represented by its upcountry offices in Lahore, Faisalabad, and Sialkot.

Swift Shipping (Pvt) Limited - General Cargo/Bulk Liner Agency

Swift Shipping (Pvt) Limited was formed in 1992 and has been involved in handling bulk liner and General Cargo services. Swift Shipping has been appointed exclusive agents by a number of bulk liners including Noble Pack Shipping Singapore, Austin Navigation Singapore, Ocean Bulk Shipping Dubai, Saba Shipping & Chartering Dubai and Irano Hind Shipping Tehran. We are amongst counted few who are members of FIATA and are licensed by the Government to act as ship agents and attend to various related shipping business at all Ports of Pakistan.

We are very proud of our following agency infrastructure which is a vital need for any prestigious and large container line operation at any active world port.

1. We maintain our Head Office at Karachi in a prestigious building at a prime location close to the Port and Customs House.
2. For closer co-ordination with upcountry customers and Inland Dry Ports we have our own office premises in one of the most prestigious building off the Main Boulevard at Lahore, the heart of Punjab. We also maintain our Container Depots at Lahore, Faisalabad and Sialkot which are important exports centers in Pakistan.
3. Our Marketing Team consisting of experienced and qualified business graduates having skills of extensive research and penetration into the export/import/trade/manufacturing houses. The team provides a regular in-depth market feed back which helps the Line to plan and change the strategy well ahead of competitors.
4. Efficient operational staff having excellent relationship with the Port Authority to ensure quick berthing and dispatch of vessels.
5. Our management team includes two experienced Master Mariners, Port Captains to maintain round the clock close co-ordination with the vessels for efficient cargo operations and stowage planning.
6. We maintain a wide band computer network for efficient online communications and financial reporting. We have a dedicated team of highly qualified IT Professionals continuously monitoring and improving the in-house softwares for financial reporting and container inventory controls.
7. Prompt remittance of freight to Principals is our company policy and we stand second to none in this vital function.

Warehousing and Logistics

Swift Supply Chain Management (a subsidiary of Ocean Express Group), combines local competence with market knowledge resulting in a truly independent network that offers a unique setup for our customers. Our logistics infrastructure has allowed us to strengthen our operational ability as well as increase local market penetration. OEG offers warehousing facilities, cargo warehousing, goods storage warehousing, transportation and custom clearance services. We have dedicated warehouses near Pakistan's port city of Karachi making us an ideal choice for customers requiring storage, sequencing, and consolidation.

• Inland cargo transportation
  We have a strategic partnership with PTN, the largest cargo transportation company in Pakistan. We handle cargo transportation to and from all major Pakistani cities.
• Inventory tracking system
  OEG employs the latest technology to maintain and track materials in the warehouse; the process is done through the WMS (a database driven computer program). The WMS is used by logistics personnel to improve efficiency by directing storage material. The WMS also helps in maintaining accurate inventory by recording warehouse transactions.
